Excavator Piston: Analysis of the Core Component of Construction Machinery's Heart

Piston: The "Energy Converter" of Excavator Power SystemInside the roaring engine of an excavator, the piston works tirelessly as a "power messenger", undertaking the crucial mission of converting fuel chemical energy into mechanical kinetic energy. As a core moving component of a four-stroke engine, it is located inside the cylinder, driving the crankshaft to rotate through reciprocating linear motion, thereby providing original power for excavator operations such as bucket digging, boom lifting, and track movement. Taking a 20-ton excavator as an example, the diesel engine pistons it carries need to complete thousands of reciprocating movements per minute, continuously working under extreme conditions of high temperature (up to 800-1000°C) and high pressure (burst pressure up to 5-10MPa), earning it the title of "heart valve" of construction machinery.
